Hi and Welcome!
My passion for counselling was shaped by my work with the refugee community in Hong Kong, where I had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds through life’s challenges. Witnessing their resilience and strength inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others navigate difficult transitions with confidence and clarity.
I hold a Master of Counselling (Distinction) from Monash University, where I specialised in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through my work, I help clients build resilience, reframe negative thoughts, and develop practical coping strategies tailored to their unique needs.
Having lived in multiple countries and worked across fundraising, programme development, and media, I deeply understand the complexities of change. Whether it’s adjusting to a new environment, navigating parenthood, menopausal transition, career shifts, or facing emotional challenges like anxiety, depression, or neurodiversity, I offer a compassionate, personalised approach. My lived experience with many of these transitions allows me to connect with clients on a meaningful level, creating a safe space for growth and self-discovery.
In addition to my counselling practice, I have completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), equipping me with the necessary skills to support individuals and families during critical moments. My goal is to empower clients—both adults and children—to develop more self-awareness, emotional resilience, and long-term well-being.
No matter where you are on your journey, I am here to support you with empathy, understanding, and a commitment to your personal growth.

Testimonials
"Counselling services can be really underrated, sometimes you don't know you need it until life takes a turn and it goes beyond what the usual circle of friends or family can understands. I had the opportunity to work closely with Mhairi through some of my most challenging life situation, and I'm glad that I did. Sessions were done in the most professional of ways, no judgement whatsoever and each time, it's just a safe space to sort out the most complex of issues."
I had a counselling session with Mhairi who I met in Hong Kong, She is warm and welcoming, which makes me feel comfortable always. She listened to my concerns without judgment and asked thoughtful questions that helped me reflect on my feelings.
It was very helpful, providing me with practical strategies to cope with my challenges. I left feeling supported and more equipped to handle my issues. I highly recommend this counselling service to anyone looking for guidance and a safe space to talk.
