Hi and Welcome!

I’m Mhairi, a counsellor based in Singapore offering both in-person and Zoom sessions to support clients regardless of location. I support children, adolescents, and adults through life’s challenges and transitions. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, workplace stress, communication struggles in relationships, intimacy and emotional connection issues, or navigating perimenopause or menopause, I’m here to help you find clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. My counselling services focus on life transitions, mental wellbeing, and relationship support to guide you forward.

My passion for counselling grew from my time supporting the refugee community in Hong Kong, where I witnessed incredible resilience in the face of adversity. This experience continues to shape how I connect with people navigating uncertainty and change.

My Approach

I use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you reframe unhelpful thoughts, manage emotions, and build long-term resilience. Together, we’ll work on developing practical strategies to manage stress, improve relationships, and foster personal growth.

Supporting You Through Change

Change can be overwhelming, whether it’s adolescence, career shifts, parenthood, or menopausal transition. Having lived and worked across several countries, I understand how identity, belonging, and self-worth can be affected during these times.

I also work with teenagers and adolescents who may be struggling with bullying, social pressure, academic stress, or self-esteem issues. My counselling style is warm, non-judgmental, and tailored to each individual, helping clients of all ages feel heard and supported.

Whether you’re coping with stress, feeling lost during midlife, or supporting a teenager through difficult changes, or trying to figure out how to find growth with a loved one, I’m here to help you feel grounded, understood, and empowered to move forward.

Let’s work together to bring more balance, resilience, and meaning into your life.
Reach out today to begin your journey toward emotional well-being.

I am fluent in English and provide counselling sessions both in-person and online.

For new clients, I offer an initial free 30-minute consultation via Zoom. Building a strong therapeutic alliance is key to successful counselling outcomes, and this initial session is to help ascertain we are the right fit. It’s important you feel confident and comfortable with your counsellor before committing both in time and financially. My priority is your success and wellbeing.

5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique

Grounding is a powerful technique to help you reconnect with the present moment, especially when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected. By focusing on your senses, you can calm your mind and body, reduce stress, and regain a sense of control.

In this exercise, you’ll use your five senses—sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste—to anchor yourself in the here and now.

When to Use This Technique:
- During moments of stress or anxiety.
- When experiencing intrusive thoughts.
- To create a sense of calm in a busy day.
