Hi and welcome!

I believe that every individual has a deep need for love and belonging and it is through the development of close, caring relationships that one can most effectively fulfil other life needs, build resilience, and achieve happiness.

Do you struggle to communicate your needs in your relationships? Or often find yourself compromising your needs to sustain the relationship? The health of one’s relationships has a direct correlation to an individual’s self-confidence, esteem, motivation, success, growth and, ultimately, happiness.

I view relationships in two distinct dimensions: relationship with self, and relationship with others. And it is the former that is the starting point for success with the latter. I work with individuals, couples, families, and children towards building secure balanced relationships. I use myriad structured and experiential counselling modalities, evidenced by research and I strongly regard the quality of the client–therapist relationship as the prime determinant of the outcome of the therapeutic process. I am open to, and have worked with, all sexual orientations and genders.

After nearly two decades of a fulfilling government/ corporate career, I decided to pursue my passion to ‘help people build close caring relationships’ and I chose Counselling to do so. I hold a Master’s in Advanced Counselling from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology from CAE Singapore.

As the early blueprint for relationships is defined through childhood experiences in the family of origin, I decided to specialize in Family Therapy Interventions during my Master’s in Counselling. Additionally, I have trained in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) for counselling and rapport building with my clients.

I am also trained in Systemic, Structural, Trans-Generational and Experiential Family Therapy Interventions, Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (CTRT) and Psychodynamic Therapy interventions.

Blessed with astute emotional acumen, I am able to accurately gauge the impact of life situations on an individual’s perceptions of success, happiness, or pain points.

In my counselling practice, I have worked extensively with clients suffering from anxiety disorders and Panic Attacks, Depression, Pre and Post-Natal Depression, Grief and Loss, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Somatization, School Refusal, Behavioural/Emotional Dysregulation, Infidelity and Marital Trust, Domestic Violence, Expatriate and Immigrant adjustment challenges, Parenting and Teenage Communication, Alcohol Dependence and Addictions.

I also actively volunteer with the local welfare associations for Suicide Prevention, Crisis Support, and Mental Health awareness building.

A life-long learner, I strive to keep myself updated with the latest research in my professional field of therapy through personal reading, trainings and workshops and have regular supervision for my counselling practice.

I have lived in Singapore for the last 20 years but was born and raised in India. Having spent half my life in India and the other half in Singapore, I bring a deep understanding of both the countries and their cultures to my practice. Moreover, my extensive travel around the world in my career provides me with the insight to fathom the challenges faced by the expatriate and immigrant population.

I am married with two adult children who have grown-up in Singapore. I am a voracious reader and my personal destressing activities are crocheting, decoupage and listening to classical music.

Testimonials

Adeeti, is very patient, non-judgemental and empathic. She has been helping me overcome my struggles and also enable me to identify my strengths. She also helped to point out my irrational thoughts and guide me back on track. My family members also notice I had become more positive. Feeling grateful to Adeeti for her help.

Aditi is a thorough professional and helped my child immensely. She was extremely patient and was able to become a friend whom my child could speak everything. She has also counseled us to become better parents.

Adeeti Jain is friendly and approachable counsellor. With her excellent communication and analytical skills, she is able to reach out and analyse her clients emotional needs. She has helped few friends and they all speak highly of her knowledge and as well as her counselling skills. As a friend and as a mentor she is ready to reach out eagerly.

Over the last 1.5 years I have been working with Adeeti either in a 1:1 capacity or for couples counselling. The sessions have been invaluable. Adeeti's has helped my husband and I better communicate, learn how to turn towards each other as opposed to creating situations where we turn away from one another and most importantly she is teaching us how to have healthy conflict and carefully coaches us on the language we can use and the impact our actions can have on one another. Both my husband and I have found the sessions to be insightful, helpful and strengthen our love maps with each other. Would highly recommend couples counselling or 1:1 sessions with Adeeti!

Adeeti is amazing! She made it easy to talk about my problems and helped me find ways to feel better. I feel so much better because of her.
