Hi and Welcome!

I am Lily, and I am committed to the healing and restoration of individuals. I help individuals overcome personal struggles and achieve fulfilment in their lives by:

  • Providing a supportive and non-judgmental space
  • Helping clients develop clear understanding of their wants and needs
  • Adopting a non-directive approach so clients discover their own solutions and strategies
  • Encouraging clients to find patterns in how they think and act

I help clients process their thoughts and feelings to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. I believe clients are experts in their own lives, and I work collaboratively with them to identify their goals and priorities.

My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, informed by Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), and Choice Theory Reality Therapy (CTRT). I believe that we all have the capacity for personal growth and self-directed change, and the power to make choices that align with our values and goals.

My background and training in Social-Organizational Psychology, conflict resolution, executive coaching, and family therapy has equipped me with a unique frame of reference for how the context of our environment shapes individual and group dynamics within systems such as in families or organisations.

As a certified coach and trained mediator in the State of New York, I have served as a community coach with ICF Singapore and a consultant for non-profit organisations. My work experiences include human resources, content development, research, and lecturing at private institutions such as UniSIM (now SUSS) and College of Allied Educators (CAE). I am a certified trainer qualified to administer the MBTI and Strong Interest Inventory. Separately, I serve on my church’s lay counselling team to help individuals resolve persistent issues from the past and gain a renewed sense of purpose.

Every person deserves to lead a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life, and I am committed to helping them get there. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues or challenges in life, I would like to support you on your journey to healing.

Testimonials

It’s helped me learn a lot about myself and what I can do to become better.

I am in my twenties and even though it is commonly known as a confusing time in life for many, I struggled with adapting, deteriorating my mental health. After many months of deciding to take on therapy, I took my first step and called insightful counselling. My counsellor Lily is extremely patient and gentle, taking the time to understand and work out my complex emotions and guiding me through exercises which I can practise at home to help me cope. I highly recommend Insightful and Lily's sessions to anyone, even if you just need a listening ear!

"Lily is an insightful and patient counsellor. Patient enough to listen to my troubles and not judge. Counselling by and large is not instantaneous, it really helps when professionals have the will to tough it out and intervene at the right time."

Lily was really helpful and created a really safe and collaborative space for me to discover myself. Highly recommended 🙂

Attended sessions with Lily to reflect about a situation I was facing. Lily was warm, non-judgmental and a very good listener. Appreciate the space she provided for me and am thankful for her support!

I had the privilege of working with Lily who not only provided insightful therapy but also offered tailored resources, going beyond scheduled sessions. I highly recommend Lily for genuine counselling.

Retrain Your Mind To Relax

5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique

Grounding is a powerful technique to help you reconnect with the present moment, especially when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected. By focusing on your senses, you can calm your mind and body, reduce stress, and regain a sense of control.

In this exercise, you’ll use your five senses—sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste—to anchor yourself in the here and now.

When to Use This Technique:
- During moments of stress or anxiety.
- When experiencing intrusive thoughts.
- To create a sense of calm in a busy day.
