Hi and welcome!

It is very exciting that you have taken the first step in giving yourself an opportunity to come to terms with any mental health issues that you may be experiencing. This step you have taken will be rewarding, enlightening and at times even scary. However, what you gain out of therapy is priceless. You create a new relationship with yourself and start to show compassionate curiosity to what is happening within. How do I know all this? I sought therapy as a last recourse, and it transformed my life.

In our sessions together, it would be a safe, open and welcoming space. I aim to tailor the therapeutic approach that best suits your needs. I am excited to learn more about you and work together on how we can begin to create the life you envision for yourself. Given the opportunity, I would be honoured to embark on this journey with you.

I have worked in the education sector for approximately 11 years, where I gained experience counselling youths and parents. I have also worked with various adolescents presenting with issues such as autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.

I have aided adolescents and adults who experienced trauma and therefore are dealing with issues such as disassociation, depression, and anxiety. I am interested in working with clinical presentations such as gender diversity, sexuality, and self-identity.

I am trained in Motivational interviewing and uses elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Somatic therapy in helping clients fulfil their counselling goals.

5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique

Grounding is a powerful technique to help you reconnect with the present moment, especially when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected. By focusing on your senses, you can calm your mind and body, reduce stress, and regain a sense of control.

In this exercise, you’ll use your five senses—sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste—to anchor yourself in the here and now.

When to Use This Technique:
- During moments of stress or anxiety.
- When experiencing intrusive thoughts.
- To create a sense of calm in a busy day.
