What Is Past Life Regression (PLR)?
Past life therapy presupposes reincarnation, the idea that our soul or consciousness continues to live through several lifetimes.
PLR is a technique that uses hypnosis or a deep state of guided relaxation in a therapeutic setting to explore memories stored in the subconscious of past lives or incarnations. A subject will usually tap into memories of their past lifetimes to gain insight into their current issues.
Through the exploration of past lives, a hypnotherapist can help you to uncover personal stories that can explain who you are today. We hope you will discover the root cause of an issue from a previous life that is affecting you in this life.
These memories are explored with an expert in safe settings with our experienced hypnotherapists who are also trained as clinical psychotherapists.
What Are The Roots Of Past Life Or Reincarnation?
Belief in reincarnation has ancient roots. It is a central doctrine of many religions including Indian religious traditions, such as Hinduism (including Yoga, Vaishnavism, and Shaivism) and Jainism. Philosophers in ancient Greece also considered similar ideas.
Is there a science or research backing PLR?
Although a lot of research has been done on childhood past lives, there is still a lot of skepticism about whether PLR is associated with a past life or is it just a fantasy.
The concept of past life regression relies on the belief that we can access lessons from past lives, which is not supported by science. Those with spiritual aspirations may find it valuable to explore a new side of themselves and their (potentially everlasting) souls.
What Happens In A Past Life Regression Session?
Usually, the session will begin with exploring what is the client’s needs to go to the past. It can be to get a better understanding of their unexplained fears, phobias, of their conflictual and painful relationships, persistent issues related to pregnancy, etc.
Next, our therapist will take them in a guided relaxed state through breathe work and hypnotherapeutic techniques that facilitate moving into a past life. Once they are there, our therapists will prompt them with a series of different questions to help identify the past life you had, the circumstances in that life, key events and areas in that life where your energy or emotions have been blocked or stuck. Many times it will include identifying people in that lifetime.
In a session, you also might be guided through the death of that past life and into the realm between lifetimes.
The session will usually include a life review (from higher spiritual guides or from the client’s higher self) of how the past life may impact the person in their present life. Finally, the client will do release work to let go of what they are holding from their past to make their present more peaceful.
Usually, the first past life session will last for around 3 hours.

Testimonials
Reena has been my clinical supervisor since I graduated from a counselling master programme. She is patient and attentive. She makes me feel comfortable and less worry. Her counselling and supervision skills and knowledge are much to be admired for and she is generous with her knowledge. I left her office feeling fulfilled every time after the session. She is a extraordinary supervisor.
Reena is one of the best supervisors I had. She is very knowledgeable, passionate and compassionate individual who cares about imparting her skills on junior counsellors. She is well- versed in EMDR therapy and has taught me some valuable techniques to use with clients. Highly recommended if you are looking for a clinical supervisor.
I have had the privilege to experience Reena as both my Group Supervisor during my Masters at ECTA and one-on-one for individual supervision.
As a Group Supervisor, Reena allows the group to set our supervision goals. She is conscious when allowing sufficient time for cases to be presented. With her rich experience, she gently teases out info of each case, urges each presenter to provide his view, intervention and treatment plans.
As a Counsellor, I have benefited richly from Reena’s experience, generous sharing and guidance. I am truly grateful to be mentored and supervised by her.
Thank you for your excellent supervision. I am amazed at your generosity, patience, kindness, diligence, inspiration, commitment and support that you have provided during my internship counselling journey. You make me realize that I have more ability than I think I have, challenged me, pushed me, believed in me, help me grow consistently and constructively to do better and led by example. Thank you again!
