Huay Khem’s interest in interacting with people, and passion for helping people develop strong interpersonal and coping skills to manage the demands of this taxing society, led her diving into the field of counselling after having more than 25 years of professional experience in Training and others. As a freelance counsellor and volunteer counsellor at various non-profit organisations, Huay Khem has accumulated a wide range of counselling experiences from relationship difficulties to mental health issues.
Huay Khem believes the key to maintaining a strong and healthy mental state and relationship, whether be it in the family unit or society at large, requires both psychotherapy interventions and systematic development of coping skills and personal resources. Being both a Counsellor and Trainer, Huay Khem has a unique insight into how people view their issues and is able to help them develop interpersonal skills to cope with their issues effectively.
Huay Khem holds a Master of Counselling (Advanced) with Swinburne University of Technology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology with SIM University. As a therapist, Huay Khem embraces all clients with compassion and empathy. Her ability to build strong therapeutic alliance and trust with her clients has helped clients to overcome a range of psychological and emotional issues.
Huay Khem loves life and approaches people authentically. Other than being a conscientious, motivated, and respectful person, she never fails to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for others, making her a glee to work with.
